Premium tier: You can upload videos to the cloud. Access from anywhere. But what if someone gets your login?

The Solution: Secret Vault

Secret Vault adds a second password to your uploaded videos:

1. Log in with your main account password
2. Navigate to uploaded videos
3. System prompts for vault password
4. Enter vault password to unlock uploaded videos

Without the vault password, your uploaded videos stay invisible. Even if someone has your login credentials.

How It Works

When you upload a video to Premium:

• Video encrypted with AES-256 before upload
• Encryption key derived from your vault password
• We never store your vault password (it's hashed)
• We cannot decrypt your videos (only you have the key)

This means:

• If we get hacked, attackers get encrypted blobs
• If someone steals your login, they cannot see uploaded videos
• If you forget your vault password, videos are unrecoverable (we cannot help)

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Add a second layer to your main account login:

• SMS codes sent to your phone
• Authenticator app codes (Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.)
• Backup codes for account recovery

MFA available for both Free and Premium users. Enable it in account settings.

Free Option: MFA Without Cloud Uploads

Free tier users can enable MFA to protect their account login. No cloud uploads, but your account stays secure.

Typical Security Setup (Premium)

1. Enable MFA on your main account (SMS or authenticator app)
2. Set a strong vault password (different from main password)
3. Upload sensitive videos to cloud vault
4. Access from phone/laptop anywhere with dual authentication

Result: Even if someone gets your phone and main password, they need:

• Your MFA code (time-limited, changes every 30 seconds)
• Your vault password (never stored, only you know it)

Use Cases

Shared Devices: Upload videos to cloud. Access only when you unlock vault. Spouse/roommates cannot see your uploaded collection even if they use your laptop.

Travel: Upload videos before trip. Access from hotel/Airbnb without carrying hard drives. Delete from laptop before airport security. Re-download later.

Backup: Upload rare/hard-to-find videos to cloud. If hard drive fails, your collection survives. Vault password protects it.

What Happens If You Forget Vault Password?

Videos are permanently lost. We cannot recover them. This is by design. If we could decrypt your videos, so could hackers.

Choose a memorable vault password. Write it down somewhere safe. Do not forget it.
